LADIES VS GENTLEMAN BY ALEXANDRU CIUCU
Ana Morodan | On 25, Feb 2013
Do you know what I love the most about Coco Chanel? Of course, I am in love with the style she defined because it’s ageless, I love the fact that she invented statement jewelry for the masses and her sailor striped blouse paired with pearls and black trousers will forever be my symbol of the perfect, effortless outfit. But what I love the most about her is that she knew how to keep certain things private and she surrounded herself in an aura of mystery that still fascinates some of us over the years.
Alexandru Ciucu is another inspirational personality who got inspired by another important part of the Chanel universe – le deux-piece. His new and first collection for women which enfolds tailor made suits and costumes was created thinking at the powerful woman, who knows the importance of transmitting the correct image.
After the discussion with my mother last week, when she lectured me about what true elegance should mean and made me thinking about tailored suits, the invitation to visit showroom and preview Alexandru Ciucu‘s Lady vs Gentleman 2013 collection came right in time.
Such a chic, countess-like spot
Irina and I were explained to that the new ladies costumes will be tailor made exactly like the man’s suits (thing that made the feminist me put a big smile on her face), made from Australian wool, cashmere and silk, the colors will be neutral and elegant.
Each piece has it’s own specific name, like a woman smoking named Catherine, a chic dress named Marylin and a tailor made costume named Gabrielle.
Here are my favorites
